Portugal (somewhere in Paradise), the 1st October, 2010
White flag...
I just arrived to Portugal and slept what it felt like sweet eternity.
It´s great to return to your safe place where you know your ground and your people.
Taste our food, breath our air and listen to our ocean waves. My mum always said I was different, a kind of gipsy who doesn´t belong anywhere in particular but to the world. I agree with her, although I know myself too well...contradictions reside within this apparently clear person I am.
I am of the world and, for sure, different from most people I know but I long to find my home all the time. Maybe the thirst for traveling and knowing other countries is just a hidden way of trying to find HOME.
Who knows?:)
Very strange not to dance.
Very strange not to prepare myself (full hair,make-up, manicure-pedicure girlie stuff and so on) and go on stage.
Very strange not to listen to the applauses and have the audience full attention and appreciation.
Yes, strange...but also pleasant.
BALANCE is the word I am searching for. You cannot have LIGHT without darkness. No JOY without sadness. No FEAST without calming retreats of deep silence.
Today I spent the whole day wearing shorts, no make-up or hairdo. Just BEING wild and simple, as I love to be.
So happy and blessed...I can´t hardly describe it.
Days of bliss follow, family visiting and lots of food sharing...then work and more fun with students I don´t have a chance to see as often as I wished, encounters with friends and rose smelling.
Autumn is here and all its dances make me look at my profession and passion in a totally new way.
Time to build something new.
Loving it all.......................................
