"The Help"

MUST READ book.

One of the most moving, touching books I ve ever read.

United States of America in the 50/60s. South of the country, Mississipi and its race segregation laws being put into question by a white lady who decides to interview different black servants to tell about their "side of the story".

The white lady bosses decide to impose the use of a separate bathroom in the back of their houses to be used by the "help", meaning black servants because, they think, "these people" carry specific diseases white people cannot defende themselves from.

The black servants start to talk about their lives and relation with their bosses...then magic happens.
