INDIA - VIDEOS III and IV


First video:

Wedding procession on the street. The groom is being taken to the bride by a group of family members and street "party-goers" (like me!). They all sing and dance to celebrate a union that is considered divine, imitating God´s Unity (Shiva and Parvati, the Male and the Female Energy coming together creating UNITY and HARMONY in the UNIVERSE).




Second video:

Arrival of bride (from a richer family) to the wedding altar where the groom is waiting for her. She was a gorgeous, smiling bride and the groom was gloomy and, apparently, sad. Most indian marriages are still arranged between families and love - in the romantic way we perceive it in the West- has little to do with the whole matter (hence the "gloomy face" on the groom´s side).
